This quality unit is made of 6061 T-6 billet aluminum and equipped with 2" diameter plates that can handle almost any spring on the market and has a 5" travel capacity. The easy access controls on the front of the tester, along with the large, easy-to-read numbers on the back-lit screen makes it a breeze to run thru a set of springs in no time. It's capable of testing springs up to 1500 lbs; in 1 pound increments, with a digital travel readout in .001" increments. Equipped with a rotatable adjustable stop for fast measuring of open and closed spring pressures. And 3 mounting locations on the handle allow you to adjust the length for increased torque. The simple to use travel stop with 2 set screws is perfect for setting an exact position, allowing repeated testing at a specific installed spring height, or wide open lift (near coil bind).
